We consume stuff, we consume information, so we consume people. Speeding up the tempo of life entails a decrease the impression of what contact with. Impressions are becoming less Important.

I noticed that an important ritual now is to take a picture of what we consume. Stuff, events, impressions. As an effort to confirm what it was. Checking presence of us. To prove that we really exist. We post It on social media, but the contact with the image there is also single use.
